E-Bike Victim Retains Michael J. Redenburg, Esq. PC and seeks Recovery: $1.3 Million in Insurance Available 

The Manhattan Based Law Firm of Michael J. Redenburg, Esq. PC has been retained to represent an e-biker slammed by a large SUV in late October, 2021. The e-biker is a former client of the law firm and years ago, hired the firm to prosecute a false arrest lawsuit that was successfully settled before trial. 

In this case, the e-biker had been travelling down a street in Brooklyn, NY, with one lane of traffic in each direction. Unbeknownst to the e-biker, a large SUV tried to overtake the e-biker by passing the e-biker on the left, and crossing over a double-yellow line. In doing so, the SUV “clipped” the ebiker with the SUV's right-rear quarter panel and then fled the scene, leaving the injured e-biker for dead. Thankfully, a Good-Samaritan stopped to help the e-biker. 

The Good-Samaritan that stopped called for emergency personnel. The Good-Samaritan also provided NYPD Officers with video footage of the incident that a device within their automobile had captured. Police were able to obtain the license plate number of the SUV that fled and generated a police report for the e-biker. The e-biker was rushed to the hospital for emergency medical treatment to his left shoulder, left elbow and left ankle. 

Thereafter, the e-biker went to the law office of Michael J. Redenburg, arriving on crutches. The law-firm contacted the fleeing SUV's insurance carrier and obtained insurance coverage information. Before receiving the video surveillance, the SUV's policyholder denied the Incident took place at all.
